Clapping During Worship

This is why we clap when we dance and sing:

In Old Testament times, hand clapping was a way to worship God.  Also, clapping held important meaning in that culture. It was a symbol of a king’s victory over his enemies.

Today, in our own worship, hand clapping is done for more than just keeping the beat of the music. It declares the victory and dominion of our Lord.

Psalm 47 says, “Clap your hands all you nations; shout to God with cries of joy. For the Lord Most High is awesome, the great King over all the earth.”

Join us in clapping for our victorious LORD!
